As one of your hosts it is my pleasure to prepare your evening meal.
With over 40 years of experience as a chef in French haute cuisine, including 5 years at the Savoy Hotel, London & 4 successful restaurants in the UK, my aim is to make your meals at Moulin de la Ville a memorable part of your stay in the Dordogne.
Hopefully you will trust me to prepare a menu for you to enjoy.
Creative & contemporary but not contraversial.
Cooked with experience but not experimental.
A little bit old school with plenty of sauce & generous portions.
Full of flavour and tastes
Lots of fresh local ingredients.
Flavours from all over France with a strong influence of the Mediterranean throughout the summer months.
No water baths (boil in the bag) and nothing cooked in its own ink.

If you have a passion for cooking, I am happy for you to join me in the kitchen for a glass of wine to chat about food, recipes and techniques. I am happy to pass on the secrets of the kitchen that I have gained over the past 40 years.

Our prices for evening meal start from €25 to include starter and main, or main and dessert. Price includes wine and coffee.
 €30 menu includes, starter, main course, dessert, coffee and wine.
Bespoke meals cooked on request. I am happy to cook a meal using your favourite ingredients (prices reflect the price of ingredients)
Our license only allows us to serve regional wines, so expect a good quality white, rosé and red from the Aquitaine region. Our wines are mainly from the Entre deux Mers and Graves region with the occasional Bergerac wine.
We have a fabulous wine shop in the village ( Cave du Clos) if you would prefer a alternative wine from a different region of France, feel free to purchase a bottle from Carol to enjoy with your meal.
​We are only one hour away from St Emilion and the other famous appellations of Bordeaux. You are more than welcome to open a bottle of wine from your travels in the region to enjoy with your evening meal.
